Privacy Policy

How UKETA.sg collects, uses and protects information when you use our website, and what will apply when our application assistance service becomes available.

Last updated: 7 October 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled in connection with the UKETA.sg website. We have written it to distinguish clearly between what happens today, when the website provides information and guidance, and what is expected to apply in the future, when our application assistance service becomes available.

Please read this policy together with our Cookie Policy and our Terms & Conditions.

2. Who We Are

UKETA.sg is operated under the name UK ETA. When this policy refers to “we”, “us” or “our”, it refers to UK ETA in its operation of the UKETA.sg website.

3. Scope

This policy applies to visitors to the UKETA.sg website and to people who contact us. It does not apply to external websites that we link to, including websites operated by the UK Government, which have their own privacy notices.

4. Information We Collect Today

At present the website does not operate a live application form, account system or checkout. We do not currently collect passport details, photographs, travel details or payment information through the website. The information that is currently processed is limited to:

  • analytics and technical information, described in section 5, which is collected only if you accept analytics cookies;
  • hosting and server request information, described in section 6; and
  • any information you choose to send us if you email ino@uketa.sg, such as your email address and the content of your message.

The passport-country selector on the website operates within your browser and does not send your selection to us.

5. Analytics / Technical Information

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website is used. Google Analytics does not run, and analytics storage is disabled, until you choose to accept analytics cookies through our cookie preferences. If you accept, Google Analytics may collect information such as the pages you view, how you arrive at and move around the website, your device and browser type, your approximate location derived from your IP address, and identifiers stored in cookies.

If you reject non-essential cookies, Google Analytics is not enabled. You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie Settings”. See our Cookie Policy for details.

6. Hosting / Server Information

The website is hosted using Vercel. As part of delivering web pages, our hosting infrastructure processes technical request information such as IP address, requested pages, browser type, referring page and the date and time of the request. This processing is needed to deliver the website and to help keep it secure and available.

7. Future Application Information

When the UKETA.sg application assistance service becomes available, customers will be able to submit information needed for a UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) application. This is expected to include the information described in sections 8 to 10. We will keep this policy up to date at that time, and the information below describes what we expect to apply rather than what is collected today.

8. Future Passport / Travel Document Information

When the application assistance service is available, we expect to ask for passport or travel-document details, a photograph, nationality, date of birth and travel-related information that the UK ETA application requires. This information would be used to prepare and submit the application on the customer’s behalf.

9. Future Contact Information

When the service is available, we expect to collect names and email addresses (and potentially other contact details) so that we can communicate about an application, respond to enquiries and provide support.

10. Future Payment Information

When the service is available and payment is taken, payment details are expected to be handled through a third-party payment service. We will identify that service in this policy before payments are accepted. We do not currently accept payments through the website.

11. How We Use Information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

  • to operate, maintain and improve the website;
  • to understand how the website is used, where you have accepted analytics cookies;
  • to respond to enquiries and provide support;
  • to protect the website and prevent fraud or misuse; and
  • to comply with legal obligations.

When the application assistance service becomes available, we expect also to use information as described in section 12.

12. Application Assistance

When the application assistance service becomes available, we expect to use customer-provided information to prepare, check and submit UK ETA applications on the customer’s behalf, to take payment and to communicate about the application. Information submitted in an application would be shared with the UK Government immigration authorities, who are responsible for deciding the application and who handle that information in accordance with their own notices and legal requirements.

13. Fraud / Security

We may use information to detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents and other unlawful or prohibited activity affecting the website, our customers or us.

15. Service Providers

We use the following service providers in connection with the website today:

  • Google (Google Analytics 4), for website analytics where you have accepted analytics cookies; and
  • Vercel, for website hosting and delivery.

When the application assistance service becomes available, we expect to use additional providers, for example for payment handling and email communication. We will update this policy to reflect them.

16. International Processing

Our service providers operate internationally. As a result, information may be processed in countries other than the one in which you live, which may have different data protection rules. Where required by applicable law, we will take appropriate steps for such transfers.

17. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies only as described in our Cookie Policy. Analytics cookies are not set unless you accept them, and you can change your preference at any time.

18. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law.

19. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

20. Individual Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights in relation to your personal information, which may include the right to request access to it, to request correction or deletion, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You can withdraw your consent to analytics cookies at any time using “Cookie Settings”.

To make a request, contact us at ino@uketa.sg. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

21. Applications for Minors

The website is not directed at children. When the application assistance service becomes available, any application for a child or other person who cannot apply for themselves is expected to be submitted by a parent, legal guardian or other authorised adult, who is responsible for the information provided.

23. Policy Changes

We may update this policy from time to time, in particular when the application assistance service becomes available. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
